Parade of Nations

The Parade of Nations Gallery defines the international scope of the Museum, featuring the world’s most precious diving helmets from the world’s largest collection of historic diving apparatus. The best diving creations from 24 nations are compared side by side in this unique interactive exhibit.

Here we show rare diving helmets made by John Date of Canada. From the USA, we feature the Mark V Navy Helium Gas diving helmets, helmets by Miller-Dunn (including Divinhood helmets used by Art McKee for treasure salvage, from Treasure Galleons with Silver Bars, Gold Doubloons and Coins and Pieces-of-Eight), 5-Bolt helmets, and those made by Alfred Hale.

We also feature South American helmets from Chile, Argentina, and a Person Helmet from Brazil; Barnett & Foster helmets from England, Siebe, Gorman of London, Heinke Pearler Helmet; and the unusual Robison Pearler helmet from Australia; Emil Carlsson, Karlskrona diving helmets from Sweden; a Bikkers helmet from Holland; Hansen and Christiansen diving helmets from Denmark; and a helmet from Finland.

Other diving helmets include Scauda, Rouquayrol-Denayrouze, and Cassasa from France; No-bolt Boutan helmets, and by Piel and Petit; Germany Diving Armor (ADS) and Helmets by Drager, Hagenuk, Flohr, L. von Bremen, Poseidon and from former East Germany MEDI; Spain Diving Helmets by Nemrod and Carbonell from Spain; Italian diving helmets Galeazzi, Titano, Salvas and IAC; Greek sponge diving helmets; Tarpon Springs helmets by Lerios, Toth, Smitzes and Angerinos; Turkey Sponge Diving Helmet; Asian diving helmets from China, Japanese TOA, Yokohama and Helium Mixed Gas Helmets; a Russian helium gas diving helmet; Korea helmet with SCUBA Regulator on tag; and a pump from Jugoslavia.
